Still photography is permitted at The Heritage Society solely for private, noncommercial use, and only in the outdoor areas. No photography is permitted inside the historic buildings houses or Museum Gallery. Photographs cannot be published, sold, reproduced, transferred, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner. Tripods are permitted but not may be set up on the porches or stairs of buildings or on sidewalks on the grounds.
If you saw our historic houses and Sam Houston Park listed on the Houston Film Commission website on ReelScout, we are thrilled to accommodate your film project. We have had international music videos, professional singing organizations, Netflix director, and individual directors use our historic houses and gardens to add charm to their scenes. Facility Rentals are available, and we even have a Tea Room area for your staff operations.
The photography sitting fees are as follows for wedding or family reunion photography.
$100 sitting fee per hour for one house.
Additional houses are $50 sitting fee per house.
A docent will be present, because there are some areas and artifacts that may not allow photography or videography.
