Texas loves its bluebonnets, which cover the hills and valley’s of the state with brilliant blue from mid-March to May. The bluebonnet has been the official Texas state flower for more than a century. A member of the lupine family, its official name is "lupinus texensis’ though it is also sometimes called buffalo clover and wolf flower.
By whatever name it’s called, the appearance of the first arrival of spring in Texas.
